Artist Statement: Chantal’s art includes richly detailed abstract mixed media paintings.

“I anchor myself in a range of imagery which reflects my inner duality: my fascination with suspended states which inexplicably ground myself and my need for movement as an extension of the raw energy of emotions I feel. “

At times, her imagery focuses on ethereal qualities through the juxtaposition of soft strokes of muted colors within movement and space whilst, at others, her art vibrates with energetic vibrant hues of strong gestural movements and forms.  Using raw emotions, she thrives to create her own pictorial language and inner reality.
