Description: A three-quarter length portrait of Gordon Hewart (1870–1943), 1st Viscount Hewart and Lord Chief Justice of England (1922–1940). A similar portrait of Hewart by Lander hangs at University College, University of Oxford.

Condition: Stable craquelure primarily to left quarter of painting; minor rubbing to frame.
