Artist Statement: Perceptual experiences are more valuable than symbolism and context to me. My work is focused on the concept of color and its ability to shift consciousness. Color can transport us through time, elicit memories and suspend perceptions of reality. Employing straight, vibrant lines that excite the eye by moving in and out, and back and forth I examine the psychology of perception propelled by movement and color. Using the industrial paint 1Shot enamel, my aim is to create a transportive experience that both surprises and invokes the spirit of curiosity.
