Artist Statement: I’m interested the possibility of offering the viewer a place for speculation, freedom, contemplation, and projection. A strong a leader in my creative process is colour. It acts as a non-linguistic system of communication. Colour holds meaning in our relationship to each other and to our world. Colour holds the key to entire collections of psychological spaces. It can transport us in a way that words can’t clearly describe. There is great mystery and wonder in how colour can delimit, yet also remove boundaries from objects and shapes. It’s role as a boundary bender is fundamental in why I make art, and how I explore the infinite potential of abstract space
