The Silver Rabbit Sleeps is from a new series I am working on called "Let Them Eat Cake." The images are inspired by painters of the Rococo period - in particular Wateau, Oudry, Fragonard. To me, Rococo paintings are all about excess - excess of beauty, color, artifice & ornament. At first glance, the images in this series appear to be luscious and decorative. Upon more careful study, each image has some element of rot or decay. The state of the world today reminds me of this exuberant decay.
